Correction to: Geochemical Perspectives Letters 22, 20-25, doi: 10.7185/geochemlet.2222, published 27 June 2022.

The percentage of volume loss of corroded PE was incorrectly reported as 0.53–6.86 % in the Abstract, which is inconsistent with those reported in the main text (Section: “Quantification of Degradation of PE”) and Supplementary Table S-3. The values in the abstract have been corrected to 1.08–13.72 % and the revised sentence from the abstract is shown below. The authors apologise for any inconvenience.

Corrected sentence: “The calculation of volume loss of corroded PE showed that about 1.08–13.72 % PE were degraded.”

In addition, the received date of the manuscript was also corrected from 13 April 2021 to 13 April 2022. The journal production office apologises for this error.
